It is a general knowledge that literature mirrors the human society,since it is an imitation of rea
l life activities. It represent or it is the representation of the human society. It is also defined by some scholars as a tool for cultural and social rehablitation. The impact of literature on our world is worthy of note. Therefore,some question needs an answer: How can literature reorientate?How can it motivate people to effect an action? Ineffect,the human society needs a 'reflector'(Literature). Which can give the ture picture of the past(either sad or lovely,ugly or beautyful,bad or good and unreasonable or reasonable e.t.c) for the correction of the present,to prevent future damages. The place of literature should not be undermine. The human history stands as a tradition. A tradition which is the historical sence and perception of the pastness of past in the presence. The role of literary practitioner that is ,the poet,playwright and novelist which represent the three major componet of literature must been seen as that of cultural and social rehabilitator. The only recomended cure-all(panacea) for colour bar,discrimination,and all form of 'illness' in our today world can be found in literature. To cap it all,literature and society is interwoven. The society can not stand without literature. Likewise can we have literature without the society.
